i hadn't seen this in a few years. venture has still got a mean game on dm2/4. Nice to this up here; it should be a "classic".

lakerman is the grand-daddy of all qw in europe. At the time of the TGI he was THE MAN in terms of duelling in qw. His style of armour hogging and rapid movement and positional control of key angles (especially on dm4) and patient playmaking are still the hallmarks of those who play dm4 like kings. Dag, sod, griffin and even pietro's play are influenced by the game that the lakerman brought to the platform. Too bad he gave it up for a much less exciting platform. Venture is the great german who earned his reputation on dm2; this game where he defeated the TGI champion was a major thing at the time. Venture stills plays with ea and he is still very much into qw. Though it is a shame he couldn't be at the qhlan, you can still get an idea of what venture can do by his pov on the germany vs holland game. venture is also a zquake man, which makes sense as he is very smart at figuring which things work well:)

Kane was the better player imho (both in duel and teamplay). I'm sure dK will disagree with this statment =P.

Lakerman was flashy but Kane was just pure evil.

Hm. I just know, that Venture owned Kane on LANS (GPX or something like that) before the TGI. There were just spectator demos, but the demos were amazing (bad quality) fun.

nope
kane was the best QW player in germany, withotu a doubt, no good players will say different.

Without 'dissing' zquake - can someone (a zquake user) please tell what it has, that mqwcl does not have? I'm so into mqw and I will continue using it until something better shows up (witch I kinda doubt). But anyway - please fill me in.
Just the basic things 'n stuff.

i dont use it cause its better, i dont see any of the current clients as having any advantage over each other

the argument for mqwcl is that its "secure" which is bullshit, i have demos of aimbots with mqwcl .96 replies

that said, the only reason i use zquake is a personal one, which will not apply to pretty much anyone else, im quite sure

lets just say im in big debt to tonik ;p
